Category:Pascal softwareIn between bouts of snuggling his adopted baby niece, Oakland Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree sat down for an interview with TMZ Sports with his thoughts on the 2019 NFL season.
When asked how much progress the Raiders made in the offseason and how his game might look this year, Crabtree didn’t hold back.
“I don’t think much progress was made,” he said. “I think the young guys on the team got better, but not much. I think we didn’t make a lot of progress. I don’t think we made any.”
When asked if the team made an effort to improve, the veteran player didn’t hold back.
“I don’t think they did,” he said. “I think they tried to keep the same thing and be successful with what they were doing. I don’t think they made an effort to really progress and do anything different. I think it is the same old things that we’ve been doing all the time, the same playbook. I don’t think it’s going to change any, from what I can tell.”
When asked why the Raiders struggled last year, Crabtree didn’t hold back as well.
“I really don’t know what happened,” he said. “I think it was a lot of injuries and a lot of stuff. I don’t know. There’s a lot of stuff that could go into that.”
While the Raiders have a lot of injuries to work through, Crabtree did say the team does have some pieces.
“I think we’ve got some good players on this team,” he said. “I’m not a big stat guy, but I think we have some good players on this team.”
He said there was a player or two who played well last year, and there were some rookies who played well.
